Each semester, guest jurors are invited to attend final reviews at the University of Miami School of Architecture. Sometimes these guests are Miami natives; however, they often travel to campus from other cities. This project is a proposal for an apartment to house a critic visiting from out of town. The design explores Aldo Rossi’s unrealized 1987 proposal for the School of Architecture campus. It studies the concept of monumentality, inherent in the essence of a tower.
